KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 2): Infomina Bhd (KL:INFOM) has secured a five-year appointment from US technology company Broadcom to distribute and support its Agile Operations Division (AOD) software across 13 Asia Pacific markets, expanding its regional presence and enterprise software offerings.
The appointment, made through Broadcom subsidiary VMware International Unlimited Company, runs from Nov 1, 2026, to Nov 2, 2031, according to Infomina’s Bursa Malaysia filing on Monday (Nov 2).
The appointment expands Infomina’s existing Broadcom Mainframe Software Division (MSD) business.
While MSD focuses on managing and modernising critical mainframe systems, AOD adds solutions for enterprise automation, network operations and IT management.
These solutions help businesses automate processes, monitor network performance and align technology operations with business needs.
Together, the two divisions give Infomina a wider range of software solutions across mainframe, distributed and cloud environments, expanding its role beyond core system management to broader IT operations.
Any extension beyond the initial term will be subject to negotiations and mutual agreement between both parties.
The appointment covers Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Sri Lanka and India.
“Enterprise technology environments are becoming increasingly interconnected, with organisations having to manage core systems alongside distributed and cloud infrastructure. Our established experience in mainframe technology provides a strong foundation, and this appointment allows us to extend our enterprise software business into other areas of IT operations,” Infomina CEO Yee Chee Meng said in a separate statement.
“We see this as an opportunity to build on our existing capabilities and broaden the range of technology requirements we can address. It is also an important step in developing a more diversified enterprise software business as we continue to pursue opportunities across Asia Pacific,” he added.
The latest appointment follows Broadcom’s expansion of Infomina’s mainframe software distribution and support rights across 12 Asia Pacific markets in September, including Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and India.
Infomina has been a distributor of Broadcom’s mainframe software since 2019.
For the first quarter ended Aug 31, 2026 (1QFY2027), Infomina’s net profit rose 26.76% to RM10.30 million from RM8.13 million a year earlier, while revenue increased 39.6% to RM76.19 million from RM54.63 million.
The group had an outstanding order book of RM614.2 million as at end-August.
Infomina shares closed unchanged at RM1.81 on Monday, valuing the group at about RM1 billion.
